Looking after your candles, wax melts, and reed diffusers ensures you get the very best performance, fragrance, and safety from every piece of Spellbound magic. Here’s how to care for them:

🕯️ Candle Care

First Burn

  • Always allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface before extinguishing — this prevents tunnelling and ensures an even burn.

Wick Care

  • Trim the wick to around 5mm before each burn to keep the flame steady and prevent smoke or soot.

Burn Time

  • Burn for 2–4 hours at a time. This maintains an even wax pool and prolongs candle life.

Placement & Safety

  • Always burn on a heat-resistant surface, away from drafts, pets, and children.

  • Never leave a candle unattended.

Finishing Up

  • Stop burning when 5–10mm of wax remains at the bottom of the jar.

🌿 Wax Melt Care

Using Wax Melts

  • Place one or two wax melt cubes in the dish of your warmer (electric or tealight, never use stove tops or direct flame).

Burn Time

  • A single cube can last between 8–12 hours, depending on the fragrance and warmer type.

Changing Melts

  • Once the scent has faded, allow the wax to cool and harden. Then gently pop it out or absorb it with cotton pads while warm.

Safety

  • Only use with approved wax warmers.

  • Keep away from children, pets, and flammable objects.

🌸 Reed Diffuser Care

Setup

  • Unscrew the cap, remove the inner plug, replace cap and insert the reeds into the bottle.

  • Flip the reeds after the first hour for an initial burst of fragrance.

Maintaining Scent

  • Flip reeds every 1–2 weeks to refresh the scent.

  • Place in a well-ventilated area but away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or open flames.

Lifespan

  • Reed diffusers typically last 8–12 weeks depending on room size/reed diffuser size  and airflow.

Safety

  • Avoid contact with skin or polished surfaces. Wipe up any spills immediately.

  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
